Rules for browsing, ordering, and using automotive products

Terms and Conditions

These Terms explain when an order is accepted, how product and fitment information should be used, and the rules that apply before and after purchase.

Effective July 18, 2026 Updated July 18, 2026 Applies to technicianmarket.com
Important: By placing an order, you agree to these Terms and the linked shipping, return, privacy, fitment, and warranty policies. Non-waivable rights under applicable law remain in effect.

1. Agreement and scope

These Terms govern access to technicianmarket.com and purchases from TechnicianMarket. “TechnicianMarket,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to the store and its owner or operator. “You” refers to the person browsing, creating an account, or placing an order.

By submitting an order, you agree to these Terms and the Shipping Policy, Returns and Refunds Policy, Privacy Policy, Fitment Verification Policy, and Warranty Policy. Applicable consumer rights that cannot lawfully be waived remain in effect.

2. Eligibility and account responsibility

You must be legally capable of entering a purchase agreement and provide accurate billing, shipping, vehicle, and contact information. You are responsible for activity performed through your account and for protecting your login credentials.

Do not send payment-card numbers, passwords, or account credentials through email or support messages.

3. Product information

We work to present accurate titles, images, descriptions, specifications, prices, availability, and compatibility information. Automotive catalog data can contain manufacturer revisions, production splits, supersessions, regional differences, and occasional errors. Images may be representative when a manufacturer uses one image for multiple applications.

When a specification, finish, measurement, certification, or application is important, contact us before ordering.

4. Order acknowledgement and acceptance

An automated order confirmation acknowledges that we received your request. It does not guarantee acceptance or shipment. We may review inventory, address quality, payment authorization, product restrictions, fitment concerns, pricing, tax, fraud signals, and shipping feasibility before accepting an order.

An order is accepted when we send an express acceptance or shipment confirmation. Before acceptance, we may cancel all or part of an order and release or refund any related payment authorization.

5. Pricing, payment, and taxes

Prices are shown in U.S. dollars unless stated otherwise. We may correct typographical, catalog, tax, shipping, promotional, or pricing errors before order acceptance. If a correction increases the amount due, we will request approval before proceeding.

Payment is processed through the payment methods displayed at checkout. You authorize us and our payment providers to perform authorization, fraud-prevention, and transaction checks. Taxes and fees are calculated based on the transaction and applicable law.

6. Shipping commitments and delays

Shipping estimates begin after order acceptance, not merely after checkout. In-stock parcel orders are generally expected to leave a U.S. fulfillment location within 1–3 business days after acceptance. Freight, oversized, restricted, special-order, address-review, and compliance-review orders may require more time.

If we cannot ship within a promised period, we will provide a delay notice and the choice required by law, which may include consenting to the delay or canceling for a refund. When no shipment period is stated, the federal Mail, Internet, or Telephone Order Merchandise Rule generally requires a reasonable basis to ship within 30 days or the required delay-and-refund process.

7. Fitment and installation

Confirm the year, make, model, trim or submodel, engine, drivetrain, body configuration, production date, and part number before installation. Fitment information and fitment assistance reduce wrong-part risk but are not guarantees.

Modifications, production splits, prior repairs, regional equipment, emissions configurations, wheel and tire combinations, suspension changes, and installer decisions can affect compatibility. Professional installation may be required. Follow manufacturer instructions, torque values, warnings, service procedures, and inspection requirements.

8. Emissions, road-use, and regional compliance

Federal law prohibits tampering with vehicle emissions controls and the manufacture, sale, offer for sale, or installation of devices intended to defeat those controls. California and other jurisdictions may impose additional requirements for aftermarket, performance, replacement, and add-on parts.

Products designated for competition or off-road use must not be installed or used on pollution-controlled vehicles operated on public roads unless the product and use are lawful. Where a California Executive Order or other exemption is required, the buyer must confirm that the exact part and vehicle application are covered before installation.

We may restrict, hold, or cancel orders when lawful sale, shipment, or intended use cannot be reasonably confirmed.

Reference the EPA tampering policy and the California aftermarket parts database when emissions legality is relevant.

9. California Proposition 65

Some products may carry a California Proposition 65 warning. A warning indicates potential exposure to a listed chemical; it does not by itself establish that a product violates another safety standard. Review product-specific warnings, manufacturer instructions, and the official California warning information before purchase and use.

10. Warranties

Many products are covered by a written manufacturer warranty. Warranty length, exclusions, claim procedures, and remedies vary by product and manufacturer. Contact us before purchase if warranty coverage is important, and we will provide available written warranty information or explain how to obtain it.

Except for an express written promise made by TechnicianMarket, we do not create an additional product warranty. This limitation does not exclude rights that cannot lawfully be disclaimed.

11. Returns, cancellations, and refunds

Eligible return requests must generally be started within 30 days after delivery and require authorization before shipment. Installed, used, altered, programmed, electrically connected, custom, special-order, final-sale, chemical, fluid, or incomplete items may be ineligible. The complete rules appear in our Returns and Refunds Policy.

If an order has already entered fulfillment or shipped, cancellation may no longer be possible and the return policy may apply.

12. Product safety and recalls

Stop using a product if you become aware of a safety issue, recall, or installation defect. Follow manufacturer and government recall instructions. Contact us with the order number and product SKU so we can assist with available records and next steps.

13. Acceptable use

You may not misuse the website, interfere with security, attempt unauthorized access, submit fraudulent orders, scrape protected account information, introduce malicious code, impersonate another person, or use products in violation of law.

14. Reviews and customer content

Reviews must reflect genuine experience and must not be fake, misleading, abusive, unlawful, or submitted in exchange for a required positive sentiment. Material relationships or incentives must be clearly disclosed. We may moderate content for relevance, privacy, safety, spam, or legal compliance, but we do not promise to publish every submission.

15. Disclaimers

To the extent permitted by law, the website and non-warranted services are provided on an “as available” basis. We do not promise uninterrupted access, error-free catalog data, or a particular result from installation or use. Manufacturer documentation and professional judgment control where they conflict with general website content.

16. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, TechnicianMarket is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, exemplary, punitive, or consequential damages, including lost profit, lost use, downtime, towing, storage, substitute transportation, diagnostic time, or labor, arising from website use, product selection, installation, misuse, or delay.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability or remedies that cannot lawfully be limited.

17. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of Illinois, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where applicable consumer law requires otherwise. Before filing a claim, contact us and provide a reasonable opportunity to investigate and resolve the issue. Claims may be brought in a court of competent jurisdiction, subject to non-waivable venue and consumer rights.

18. Changes, severability, and contact

We may update these Terms prospectively. The version posted when an order is accepted generally governs that transaction unless applicable law requires otherwise. If one provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to the extent permitted by law.
